Alaska's only mountaintop museum, at 2,280 feet above sea level, is dedicated to preserving and archiving the history of the town of Girdwood, Alaska, and the Glacier Valley area. Located at the Alyeska Resort Upper Tram Terminal, the Roundhouse is accessible by aerial tram from The Hotel Alyeska. It is also accessible by ski lift in the winter, and by an advanced, 2.2-mile steep hiking trail in the summer. Hikers who make it to the top get a free tram ride down!
