Geocache Description:

This cache is located off the white blazed Paumanok Path. It's name is a continuation of the series of trail caches named for mythical creatures and folklore. As with all my caches PLEASE LEAVE NO TRACE.

When you are walking along the shore of a large body of water, walk quietly and don't make any noise, for you may see a BILLDAD. BILLDAD'S wait on the shoreline watching for fish to jump from the water. When the BILLDAD sees a fish jumping it will leap through the air and land next to the fish. It will then smack the fish with its tail and carry it home and cook it over a fire.

While doing this cache take the time to enjoy the short walk along the blue blazed side trail to Fresh Pond Park. This park offers some great views of Gardiners Island and if you look east you will see the former fish factories and in the distance a radio tower. This radio tower was at Pearl Harbor at the beginning of World War II and was moved to Long Island during the war.
