Well, after achieving 150 finds, and still not having placed a cache, we decided it was time. With the help of bykerdan who provided the container, a camouflaged cookie tin, we decided to head out to an area that doesn't have too many caches. We like to walk our geo-pup out here in the desert. We took her along and decided right then and there to let her pick the location for the cache. So she ran around and where she stopped, we hid the cache. So we're dedicating our first cache to our geo-pup, Rubi. We've had her for about a year and she just over a year old. She is a Catahoula hound/Labrador mix. We named her after the Jeep Rubicon. She has been a great companion. UPDATE: Rubi passed away in December 2019. Rest in peace girl. 6/2/07 - 12/9/19 NOTE: Watch out for cactus! It is everywhere and if you get stuck you won't be a happy cacher. We don't like unhappy cachers, so be careful!
