Baggrundshistorie
Bygningen er opført i 1950 af A. Baess & Komp. Sæbefabrik og blev anvendt til farvefabrik.
1955 blev bygningen erhvervet af Nestle Nordisk til produktion af kødekstrakt (Maggiterninger) og dåsefremstilling. Bygningens tilnavn ”Maggibygningen” stammer fra denne periode.
I 1971 blev bygningen overtaget af Ercopharm A/S, der anvendte den til farmaceutisk produktion.
Volvo Lastvogne og Busser Danmark A/S overtog huset i 2001, og flyttede ind i det i januar 2002, efter en gennemgribende renovering.
Bygningen ejes nu af BOKA GROUP A/S og lejes ud som firmadomicil.
Bygningen er ikke officielt udpeget som særlig bevaringsværdig, men Herlev Kommunes forvaltning har udtrykt, at det klart er forvaltningens holdning, at den bevares.
Geocachen
Business-mugglere kan forventes i almindelig arbejdstid. Husets ejer har givet tilladelse til placering af cachen, men husets lejer kender ikke til eksistensen.
Husk, som i mange andre situationer, så er vold ikke løsningen.

Where is Maggi?
Background history
The building was build in 1950 by A. Baes & Co.. Soap Factory and were used as color factory.
In 1955 the building was bought by Nestle Nordic for the production of meat extract (Maggi cubes) and canned food. The building's nickname "Maggibygningen" comes from this period.
In 1971 the building was taken over by Ercopharm A/S, which used it for pharmaceutical production.
Volvo Trucks and Buses Denmark A/S bought the house in 2001 and moved in after a thorough renovation.
The building is now owned by BOKA GROUP A/S and rented out as corporate headquarter.
The building is not officially worthy of preservation, but Herlev Municipality has expressed that it clearly is the administration's interest that it is preserved.
The geocache
Business mugglers can be expected during normal business hours. The cache is approved by the owner of the building, but unknown to the renter.
Remember, as in many other situations, violence is not the solution.
