Nothing too hard here. Just another cache to have a fun with. It is barely a bushwack in a nice enclave of trees. You can park at either of the parking waypoints. If it is a nice day, and there are a lot of people out, you may want to consider parking in the business lot since you can be more stealthy coming from there. If you do, be careful when crossing the creek since it would not be fun to fall into that water. When placing, we found some pallet boards and made a bit of a bridge. So if you come from the sidewalk side, I would seek that bridge out. If you want to enjoy the park while your here, maybe find the other caches nearby, (if you haven't already) then park in the park.
I have fond memories of this park growing up in this area. I rememebr way back when the playground here was all purple and we used to call the whole park, the Purple Playground. As kids, my sister and I only ever played on the playground, so that is what we dubbed the whole park. And we jsut loved the alliteration as well. It was always exciting when we got to go to the Purple Playground. Partly because this park was a regular stop for the Ice Cream Truck, and we would always be hopeful that he would come while we were there. Now, they have completely changed the playground. It is still nice, but it can never compare to the legend of what the Purple Playground was. To this day, I still refer to this park as the Purple Playground. The Ice Cream Man doesn't stop here as often, but it still has plenty of kids coming here. I thought this would be a nice place to bring cachers and commemorate my former stomping grounds as well. You can enjoy the park afterwards. Definitely bring your kids, especially on a nice day.
