Geocache Description:

High Above the Falls

Nestled in the heart of Hoover is The Preserve. The Preserve is a 250 acre public nature preserve that has about 10 miles of hiking trails and many hidden treasures. These treasures consist of everything from rare longleaf pine forests to unique boulder formations and even waterfalls.

This geocache hide is compliments of Kelsey and it is her first hide. She received her "Geo-Box" from a friend and wanted to hide it near the falls in The Preserve. Kelsey was accompanied by resqueme, jeff35080 and Meagan when hiding her "Geo-Box" and everyone involved thought the spot was a perfect place for people to visit and to listen to the peaceful sounds of Hurricane Branch and the nearby falls.

Kelsey's "Geo-Box" is a flat quart-size Rubber-made container well covered in camo-tape and is stocked with lots of goodies for geocachers to trade. The real treat though is just visiting The Preserve and enjoying the sights and sounds of the nearby water working its way towards the falls.

Please feel free to trade items. Make sure to sign the log book and please hide the "Geo-Box" as good or better than you found it so that geo-muggles won't find it.

Kelsey hopes that you enjoy your visit to The Preserve and finding her "first ever" geocache hide!
