Skrýša bola založená pre zatraktívnenie uzavretie Kysuckej brány.
Kopec Brodenec sa nachádza nad obcou Brodno. Je vlastne súcast uzáverov Kysuckej brány. Nie je nejako Významný, ale sú z neho pekné výhlady na protilahlé kopca Rochovica Brodnianka, ktoré tvoria Kysucké bránu.
