We wanted to give back to the geocaching community by placing caches of different types all around but also in some areas that seemed full. We have had fun creating cache containers and had bought a LPC cache back awhile ago and had never gotten it out. We looked at it and knew we had to make more. We bought the supplies to make 40 of them. When we first set out to place them, we planned on just placing them but when we found out about this spot --- well we knew that we had to make it a series and have this be the grand finale as we wasn't too sure that everybody knew about this spot. Who would've thunk it!!! THIS in the middle of a field!!!! Well anyways. We are glad that you decided to take part in the game and go for this mystery or what we call the Grand Finale to our little series. We will be putting more LPC's out but they won't be part of this series. We hope you enjoy this series as well as any and all our other caches. We do have more in the works. We have a lot of fun seeing the race for FTF and reading the logs. This is our holiday gift to all of you out there in the geocaching community. You have taken us all over and to places we went by a million times or in some cases, places we never would have known existed. We think differently now about what's around us. Thank you!
Now for the details of the game for those who might have missed it. Yes I am afraid it's a copy and paste.
We decided to do a series of Lamp Post Caches. We checked the area for awhile and put some out and kept an eye on them for over a month. All went well so.... Here's some new caches in an old area that seemed like it was full but really had a little bit more room to liven it up.
We made these ourselves versus buying them all done so here goes....
This series has a twist so please read on...
Please be stealthy and watch out for muggles.
In our LPC Gone Crazy series, it's all about the numbers. So let's play a little game. You do not have to play this game as each cache stands alone as a way to get a smiley while conducting business in an urban area but if you want then you have to pay attention to the numbers.
For example, LPC Gone Crazy Series #1 will have a secret number on the log or perhaps a letter that if put together in order will give you the secret coordinates to the final LPC Gone Crazy series cache.
LPC Gone Crazy Series #1 will actually give you a secret code of 'N' which will start you off. LPC Gone Crazy Series #2 will give you the second and on and on until you finally have a complete set of coordinates. Good Luck and if you find them out of order just make sure you plug it in correctly afterwards.
Our family loves geocaching and the holidays so why not combine the two. We decided to give back to all the geocachers out there that have provided us with smileys and some wonderful adventures. We go by places now and remember caching there. It makes us look at things in a whole new way. So here's our holiday gifts to you out there... Thanks for the tricks and treats along our journey thus far, We give thanks to all the geocachers out there, Merry Christmas --- here's some gifts from our family (shfiddie, The_Nelsons, CountryGirl92, finderfiddie, and the rest of the gang) We hope you enjoy. We promise no unpleasant surprises even though we have done some with interesting containers. Included in these gifts will be a LPC series!! These have all been made and placed by shfiddie, we didn't share the locations with the rest of the family.
Just one little tidbit on this series.... We only had one cache disappear right after putting it out, it was on Broadway in Bangor. We replaced it and put in a different location since that one seemed risky.
