La miniera La Passata inizia ad essere scavata dal XIX° secolo, le prime gallerie furono scavate nel 1888.
Si estraeva la Galena, ovvero Solfuro di Piombo, che è il principale minerale utile per l'estrazione di piombo, ma nel passato la galena è stata estratta più per il suo contenuto di argento che per la produzione di piombo.
Lo sfruttamento massimo si ha dalla fine del '800 all'inizio della Prima Guerra Mondiale, quando i filoni ormai erano quasi esauriti.
Dopo la Guerra, si proseguì l'estrazione in maniera discontinua, ma essa si arrestò con la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e da quel momento la miniera La Passata fu abbandonata definitivamente. (Maggiori informazioni si possono trovare sul cartello informativo antistante l'ingresso della miniera).
Il cache è nascosco nella galleria più lontana dall'ingresso, in fondo ad un vicolo cieco. La posizione esatta è indicata con una "X" nell'immagine della planimetria di questo listing.
ATTENZIONE: nonostante non ci siano particolari difficoltà, è importante mantenere la massima cautela, soprattutto a causa dei fornelli profondi svariati metri che collegano diversi livelli e cui passerete molto vicini. La miniera è un ambiente ostile. Non ci sono indicazioni all'interno, quindi vi consiglio di stampare la planimetria della miniera che trovate tra le immagini e di muovervi per le gallerie consapevoli della posizione in cui siete.
È d'OBBLIGO una torcia frontale, controllate di avere le batterie cariche e che sia abbastanza forte da illuminare per bene la galleria e mostrare i pericoli. È consigliato il caschetto per non pestare la testa quando le gallerie si fanno più basse.

The mine "La Passata" begins to be dug from the nineteenth century, the first tunnels were excavated in 1888.
The mineral Galena, or lead sulfide, which is the main mineral useful for the extraction of lead. In the past the galena was extracted more for its silver content instead of the production of lead.
The maximum exploitation of the mine occured from the end of '800 to the beginning of World War I, when the veins of lead sulfide were almost exhausted.
After the war, the extraction continued discontinuously and it was stopped due to World War II and then the mine La Passata was finally abandoned. (More information can be found on the information board in front of the entrance of the mine).
The cache is hidden farthest from the entrance to the mine, at the end of a dead tunnel. The exact location is indicated with an "X" in the image of the floor plan of this listing.
WARNING: Although there are no particular difficulties, it is important to maintain the utmost caution, especially because of the several deep holes that links different levels. The mine is a hostile environment. There are no signs inside, so I recommend you to print the map of the mine that you can found in the images of the listing and to move for tunnels aware of the location where you are.
