Cette forêt est spéciale , elle n'est pas très grande , elle se trouve en haut du village et surplombe celui ci de près de 150 m de dénivelé. La whérigo vous entraîne sur les chemins avec une partie en hauteur et une autre en bas de cette petite montagne . Tout le long du parcours vous découvrirez le panorama sur 360° , une partie montrera Strasbourg et sa cathédrale Notre Dame , une autre partie montre la Forêt Noire , une autre les Vosges et une autre la plaine du Kochersberg . Tous ces points de vue sont remarquables!
Au milieu de la forêt se cache le Fort Ducrot en cours de réfection avec sa basse fosse et ses fortifications tout autour. Il y a aussi des bunkers ensevelis par la végétation.
La commune a construit des sentiers de marches , en plus des simples promeneurs certaines associations viennent y faire de la marche nordique et d'autres du VTT . Plus loin sur le plateau une association fait du para-pente avec vol stationnaire . Pour finir il il a un arboretum avec une variété intéressante d'arbres.
Pour valider votre visite, faites une photo de vous-même (vous n'avez pas besoin de montrer votre visage) au coordonnées de la cache . Soit assis sur le banc soit avec la vue de la cathédrale en arrière plan et ajoutez la au log trouvé.
