Ralph Erskine, född 24 februari 1914 i London, död 16 mars 2005
på Ekerö, var en brittisk-svensk arkitekt, professors namn 1999.
Ralph Erskine var en av förgrundsgestalterna inom svensk arkitektur
under en stor del av 1900-talet. Hans arbete i Skandinavien
uppmärksammades även internationellt.
Ralph Erskine har ritat flera centrala byggnader som sätter
prägel på universitetet. Två utav dom ser du på denna punkt.
Juristernas hus, som ligger rakt västerut från startkoordinaten,
färdigställdes 1991 och ägs av en stiftelse, förutom festlokaler
för juridiska föreningen finns även en bokhandel.
Aula magna invigdes 1997 (Webbsida). Aulan är
inplanerad så att inga större ekar behövde fällas vid byggnationen.
Det är även det för närvarande nyaste huset på campus.

Ralph Erskine, born February 24, 1914 in London, Deceased March
16, 2005 at Ekerö, was a British-Swedish architect. He was
appointed honorary professor in 1999. Ralph Erskine was one of the
prominent figures of Swedish architecture for much of the 1900s.
His work in Scandinavia, attracted international attention.
Ralph Erskine has designed several key buildings at the
university. Two out of them you see on this point. "Juristernas
hus" - the lawyer's house, right to the west of the start
coordinates, was completed in 1991 and is owned by a foundation, in
addition to rooms for the student association you cana also find a
bookstore.
Aula magna was opened in 1997. The aula was planned so that no
large oaks had to be cut down for construction. It is also
currently the newest building on campus.
Other buildings designed by Ralph Erskine on campus is Allhuset
(1994) and University Library (1982) which you can glimpse the
east, and Frescati Sports hall (1983) in the northern part of the
campus.
One of Ralph Erskine signature details are the wooden sun
reflectors, which is often found on the roofs of his buildings. You
can see A reflectors on the roof of, Aula Magna and J reflectors on
the roof of the house of lawyers.
