Turangi Travel Bug Camp (Central Plateau) Letterbox Hybrid

A letterbox hybrid cache located in the township of Turangi in the Central Plateau.

The cache is located just inside private property with the permission of the owner, in fact they will often be watching you!  But don’t worry, they know what you are doing and are very friendly (they love it when people bring them coffee!)  They are happy for the cache to be accessed all day and night, but please be respectful at night time.

Access:

To open the cache you will need a three-digit code. Due to changes in the area, I'm now giving you the code, rather than you having to work it out. The code is 495.

Inside the cache you will then find 3 containers…

1. Geocache:

This contains a logbook clearly marked for geocaching, which geocachers should sign.  There is also room for small swaps in this container.

2. Letterbox:

This contains a second logbook clearly marked for letterboxing, Letterboxers should stamp this logbook with their stamp.  There is also a stamp for stamping your personal log book - PLEASE DON’T REMOVE THE STAMP FROM THE CONTAINER!

3. Trackables:

The third container is for trackables and geocoins.  It would be nice if there was always a supply of trackables in the cache, so please don’t just take all of them!  Don’t forget to log any trackables you take.
