Located in a nice new Rest Area with over a dozen free tent camping sites, the area is not marked from the street other than a blue sign announcing Rest Area. Enjoy the rest and bring a tent to stay for a bit. There is a gazebo for picnicking and several fire pits, most of which have never been used.
The Big Wild ride is a 1200K Randonneuring event (long distance bicycling) that is run every four years from Valdez to Anchorage through Fairbanks and Talkeetna. This year was the inaugural year. It passes through this area on its incredible journey around the great State of Alaska.
