This Cache:
This cache is located in Crossways Preserve in Whitpain Township. It is a part of the Wissahickon Valley Watershed and actually has the highest number of native plant species of all of the WVWA Preserves. The trail in the preserve makes a full circle. Whitpain Township and Lower Gwynedd Township recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, December 10th, for the official opening of the Crossways Trail. This project was a collaborative effort between both Whitpain and Lower Gwynedd Townships, Montgomery County Planning Commission, Montgomery County Community College, Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association, Natural Lands Trust, and residents. The new trail and bridge connects the Township to the Green Ribbon Trail. To access the trail, park in the Crossways Preserve parking lot on Cathcart Road and follow trail signs. Parking coordinates are included.
The cache is located just off of the main trail. From parking, walk down the trail until you reach the bridge. The cache is just past the bridge off of the trail. No bush whacking required. This cache is part of the SPACE 2081: A Geocaching Odyssey challenge.
This challenge contains one cache of each difficulty and terrain combination, plus a final cache which can be found only after finding all 81 caches that are part of the series. Each of those 81 caches will contain a code, which you will use as part of the puzzle to solve the FINAL CACHE.
