10th ANNUAL COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE GEOCACHER’S
POTLUCK
JULY 9TH
2011
12:00
-3:00
The Columbia
River Gorge Geocachers invite you to Rock Creek Park in Stevenson,
Washington for some munching, crunching, tale swapping, and
geocaching activities.
Rock Creek
Park is located just 2 miles east of the Bridge of the Gods on the
north side of Highway 14 in the city of Stevenson.
There is a
nice covered shelter with plenty of
picnic tables and a restroom. A playground, skate park, and walking
trails are just a very short distance from the picnic shelter.
Additional covers will be set up in anticipation of the Columbia
River Gorge’s always changing weather.
Bring your
kids, dogs, fishing poles and a favorite dish or dessert you would
like to share. Burgers, hotdogs, and
water are on us.
For those who
are new to geocaching, don’t be shy. Please come and hang out
with us.
Those that
have attended earlier events will tell you to be prepared for some
food and fun. Mayfly22 & Jedeye have been stocking up all year
on door prizes for adults and kids alike.
Activities
planned so far include:
FOOKOWEY-BEST
DNF STORY, back by popular demand (It is going to be tough to
top last year’s winner, Ms. 4Rednecks. So be ready with a
good story to share with everyone.)
MULTI-CACHE
PUZZLE ADVENTURE (Time for some Rock Creek Park
exploration.)
GEO-BINGO (Meet
and Greet your fellow Geocachers and marvel at their
accomplishments.)
ONE or TWO NEW
CACHES (For those FTF hounds we have something just for
you.)
Stay tuned for
more events that are in the planning
stages.
