Geocache Description:

Cache is located in Hungry Mother State Park a short distance from Marion VA on state route 16 on the Lake Loop Trail not too far from the boat launch area.

Effective January 1, 2009 Daily Parking Fees for Passenger Vehicles; Weekdays $2  Weekends $3   if Camping No Charge

The container is a 50 cal. Ammo can with plenty of room for travel bugs, coins and swag. No need to bushwhack just wait till your GPSR is showing about 50 ft and head into the cool, quite and shady area to GZ. I placed it back into the green so you won’t be so viewable. Trade even or up for swag and if you are quite people on the trail will pass by without seeing you. Replace as found for the enjoyment of others. Your signal will be bouncing because of the HEAVY green.

Thanks and Cache-On

Note: In all Virginia state parks you have to have permission to hide a geocache. Stop by the Headquarters building in the park and ask to talk to the official in charge of reviewing the Geocache Placement Application you will have to obtain from them. Let them be aware of your desire to hide and maintain a geocache in the park. Most parks may ask you to “not” make the cache for Premium members to allow the general plumbic the opportunity hunt while visiting the park. All my caches have been placed by permission at Hungry Mother State Park.
