I just recently completed another visit to the Palo Alto
Baylands and started the loop at Byxbee Park. When I got to the
end, I had a choice of backtracking almost 2 miles, or continuing
on to pick up one more cache. I decided to grab the one remaining
traditional and finish the walk along the road. As I walked and
walked, I figured it would be nice to have a couple more caches to
make the loop complete. You can also use this location as another
spot to access the trail.
You aren't going to see any breathtaking scenery, any marsh
fowl, or planes but it does satisfy another perk, which is it is
available 24 hours. Obviously it was placed with the hiking/biking
loop in mind, but it can also be done as a quick grab and go.
During business hours some stealth might be required. Don't forget
a pen!
