Island Falls
Bring Your Camera! Very nice and very interesting hike - multiple trail types and scenic walk.

This trail leads you down a nice wide tree-covered road to a smaller trail and past a scenic-overlook view of a pond and small water fall. Walk down and around to cross over the stepping stones and continue around to a beautiful view of the pond and falls at water level. Cross over the hidden trail to the island and another set of stepping stones (watch that stump it moves!) to the island for a great view straight on.

Location Info

This cache can be reached from two trail heads. Suggest you park outside the park and walk in. You will find the trail on the left side of the road walking in - pretty easy to spot - about half way down the hill.

Finding this cache may take some time. It is not a straight line hike to cache. Follow the trail and watch your GPS. There isn't much more you can do but follow the trail anyway.

You will find yourself walking in circles as you follow this trail - that is correct - you will double around to get to this cache if you follow this trail.

The trail narrows to a very narrow track and crosses the stream - then joins a wider trail - then you cross to the island and there is not much more trail.

This cache has THREE Travel Bugs in it. Please take only one. It also has many techy items in it and some neat stuff for the kids.
This cache has a FTF (no Trade) bonus of a ready to place Micro - please take this item ONLY if you plan to place it.

Special Info

Parking is $4 in the park (May to Sept). The trail head inside the park is somewhat hidden. This is a shorter but steeper hike but you miss most of the really neat aspects of this cache/find.

There is very little PO and is easily avoided
