Osage Hills State Park, located just west of Bartlesville in the heart of the Osage Nation in northeast Oklahoma, boasts 1,100 acres of scenery. Trails on the rocky, hilly terrain provide a challenge to hikers mountain bikers, and geocachers.
Fall Fest Activities include
* Hide and Seek: The main event! Use your imagination to create the best cache. Hide it and they will seek. Complete Game description and Rules Cache Hide Form Hide Area Map
* Geo-Bingo: How well do you know your fellow geocachers? Break the ice with this great get-to-know-you game!
* Poker Run: Race to complete this Multi-cache and your Poker Hand!
* Children's Game: Fun for the younger cachers and the young at heart. Our main objective is to have a great time and maybe find a few caches and make some new friends.
* Other fun activities, sessions* and general geocaching good times.
*111 uses for BBQ Sauce: (A Separate Event on October 14th!) Bring your best BBQ recipe and have it judged by the group. (As long as it has BBQ sauce in it or on it, it is eligible to be judged.)
*Saturday Night Safety Dance: (A Separate Event on October 15th, 10 pm) Bring your glow sticks!
*CITO Scavenger Hunt: (A Separate Event on October 16th, 10 am) Let's thank Osage Hills by leaving the camp cleaner than we found it!
Saturday Registration will open at 8:30 am. Hide & Seek caches should be placed by 11am and coordinates will be released as near Noon as possible. Sunday prize drawings will begin at 11:30 am.
*Are you planning a trip outside the US and want to go geocaching? Are you on a budget but you still want accurate maps for your GPS? Eric (TresOkies) has been using the OpenStreetMap project for several years and wants to share his experience so everyone can have fun geocaching and navigate all over the world. Join Eric at 10:30 AM on Saturday morning main pavilion.
EVENT MEAL Saturday 6:00 pm. Salad and baked potato bar with chili, Tea and Lemonade - $8.00 per person
While the Geocaching Event is free of charge, taking advantage of the event meal is strongly encouraged. Regardless of your meal plans each participant must complete the Waiver/Release of Responsibility. Please help our event planners by filling out and sending in these forms in advance of the event.
Accommodations:
Cabins, RV and tent sites must be reserved through the State Park.
Our Headquarters will be the Common Building in the Group Camp area (Park Map)
TAG has reserved the entire Group Camp area for both Friday and Saturday nights. Each Cabin can sleep up to 10 individules and and have only a bunch of bunk beds in them. Nothing else. They have lights, heat, and A\C. You can split the $70/2 nights cost with as many people as you want to share with! These can be reserved through Sarah Bridgeman.*
