CacheCreatures: The man who authorized this cache is no longer at this facility, so the staff keeps removing it. Sorry this not good spot for a cache anymore. It brought people to this humane society. Too bad. Thanks to those who enjoyed it!

This is the second in a series of caches highlighting local animal shelters. We were given express permission to hide this cache by the Executive Director of the Valley Humane Society (VHS), so hunt without fear! The only request is that we respect the area and tread lightly. THE CACHE IS IN PLAIN SIGHT! Do not bushwhack, or damage the area in any way. You do not need to move anything or go anywhere not already established as a walking place.

Please replace the cache EXACTLY as you found it. The placement is key to this find.

Although you're welcome to visit this area at any time, we encourage you to try and make it during business hours (closed Mon, Tue-Thr 1 to 5pm, Fri 1 to 4pm, Sat-Sun 11am to 5pm). Take a walk through the shelter and give lovies to some wonderful cats currently taking up residence in this fantastic shelter. Who knows, you might just find your next fuzzy friend!

The coordinates to the cache are as follows: N37 39.ABC W121 52.DDE, where:

A = If a room with seven corners has a cat in each corner, six cats before each cat, and a cat on each cat's tail, how many cats are in the room?

B = A cat before eight cats, A cat between eight cats, A cat behind eight cats, How many cats?

C = Five cats have how many pairs of eyes?

D = How many feet are there on a cat if you call a tail a foot?

E = If you were to ask a cat how many owners he has, how many would he say?

A bit about the shelter: The Valley Humane Society (VHS) was formed in 1985 as a chapter of Pets 'N Pals, Inc. Since that time, the VHS has incorporated on its own. It is a non-profit, non-political organization consisting strictly of volunteers. Their mission is to educate the community on the need for responsible pet ownership, including the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats. They also assist in the rescue and placement of abandoned/stray or injured animals. VHS supports animal welfare in Livermore-Dublin-Pleasanton and surrounding areas, by operating an Adoption Center and Shelter located in downtown Pleasanton. VHS does not euthanize surrendered or rescued animals, unless health problems dictate.

NOTE: The area seems to make some GPS units go wacky. If your unit won't settle down, decrypt the Placement Hint.
