This is a multi-stage cache that just came together while I was out doing the Penny cache. It starts in the same general area as the Penny cache, but then it has a life of its own. Like the pioneers that traveled this trail, you will have to use your best route finding skills. The going will get a little rough, but if you have any pioneer stock in you, you can find your way. At the listed starting coordinates there is a historical marker detailing the Oregon Trail. 1)How long was the trail? add 138 to that number for the N coordinate N 40.3_._ _ _ subtract 1623 for the W coordinate W 098.3_._ _ _ Get going to this spot and locate the next marker 2) What is the date this marker was erected? add 7818 for the N coordinate N 40.2_._ _ _ add 5048 for the W coordinate W 098.2_._ _ _ 3) Locate the cache along the trail.
