A pleasant location to visit, hanicapped accessible, nice views.
You can visit this cache by land (over) or by water (under).
The Dry approach (over) offers pleasant river views and convenient access and is fully wheelchair accessible. To use the dry approach, start at the square in Guerneville (intersection of Armstrong Woods and Hwy 116) and take the old bridge across the river.
To verify that you have found this cache by the dry approach, email ben@ezzell.org and provide the date (year) the original bridge was built. (Hint: check the north end of the bridge approach.) Do not post your answer on the web site.
The Wet approach (under) offers a short or long jaunt on a pleasant waterway as it flows through the wine country winding westward (more or less) to the sea. To use the wet approach, launch your canoe or kayak anywhere from Steelhead Beach in Forestville (for a long downsteam jaunt) to Johnson's Beach in Guerneville (short trip upstream).
To verify that you have found this cache by the wet approach, email ben@ezzell.org and provide the lowest and highest flood stage markers from the middle support pier on the original bridge. Do not post your answer on the web site.
Note: the Under approach is not recommended during heavy rains or flood alerts.
