Geocache Description:

This is a small Lock & Lock container hidden at a historic one-room schoolhouse. Bring your own pen.

Rock Valley Schoolhouse is the district's last maintained one-room schoolhouse. Built in 1885, it still has many of its original desks and a collection of historic school books and other artifacts. In 2008, it was listed in the New York and National Registers of Historic Sites. The cache is placed at the kind invitation of the Trustees of the School.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION:

One mile south of Long Eddy, NY, at the Rt. 97 intersection with Basket Bridge. Go 4 miles up Sullivan County 134, which morphs into Delaware County Rt. 28.

PARKING:

On the grass near the road is fine. Please do NOT use the paved driveway, which belongs to the home next door. Those who might have trouble with the slight incline to the school can pull up and park behind the school, which provides level access to the cache.
