WWFM VI - Getting Wiggy With It!, Edmonton, AB, Nov 14/09

Flash Mob Event– A large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public space, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse. This will be lots of fun and maybe we'll even raise a few muggle eyebrows!

Theme: WEAR A WIG (funnier the wig, the better)
Date: Saturday, November 14th, 2009
Time: 10:00 am SHARP to 10:15 am (15 minute event)
Where: Ground Zero Coord's (N 53° 31.064 W 113° 29.673 )
Who May Attend: Everyone!!! Out-of-towners are very welcome.

***You MUST hand in a 4x6 index card and wear a wig to log this event.***
Please bring your index card log already prepared with your geocaching name and the number of people in your group that attended the event.
If you want to decorate your card, please do as these 4x6 index cards will be bound to create the log book for the event.
At exactly 10 am as determined by your GPSr clock, a bucket will be placed at the coordinates noted above for the 4x6 index card logs. To qualify for attendance, drop your index card log in the designated bucket.
At exactly 10:15 am, the bucket with the logs will be packed up and sealed away. The event area will be evacuated without a trace.
Although participants are encouraged to get together after the event, the event will officially be over at 10:15 am.

ITINERARY

09:45–09:59:59 am - Participants will be strolling around the area. Stay alert! But stay away from ground zero until the signal is given. As much as you can, act like an muggle, pretend not to know each other or give away any indication that something is about to happen. I'd advise you to get to the general area early, as it may be difficult to find parking because of the farmers market being close by. (I always find parking just east of the tracks and south of Whyte Ave)

-At 10:00 am sharp (mountain standard time) a horn will be blown and we'll meet at ground Zero Coords.

-10:00-10:05 am - Log sheets can be placed in the bucket and we'll chat with fellow cachers. We will pass out candy to all attendees for the event "meal".

-10:05—10:12 am - Logs will be pulled for a couple prizes.

-10:12 am - Quickly gather for a group photo WEARING YOUR WIGS (hahaha)... please listen for directions.

-10:14 am - One minute warning

-10:15 am - Leave the area, logs are packed away If all goes well we’ll have lots of people coming out of nowhere and gathering for 15 min, holding a geocaching event, then disappearing.

If you plan on attending, please click the “will attend” in the log event area. Also please note how many of you will be attending so we can "guestimate" how many to expect.

Please bookmark this cache to catch any updates as they are posted.

The event will happen rain, SNOW or shine! Please come prepared.

Hope to see you there... with your funny wig on!

Johnnygeo
