This is a 4 part virtual cache. The listed coordinates will take you to the first part. This is not quite a drive by cache and will require a little walking. Parking should not be much of a problem at any of the locations.
Part 1. You’ll be standing near a tree in the courtyard of an apartment building. Until her death in 1998, here once lived a woman who was the sister of a very famous American. Many of the local folks would know the answer to this. To get to the 2nd part, go to the Tufts campus to N42 24.467 , W 71 07.223.
Part 2. You will be at the monument of a very famous performer. There are also some nice views from this hill. To get to the 3rd part just add 0.637 to the north coordinate and subtract 0.612 from the west coordinate.
Part 3. You should be in Medford Square at the site of an old tavern where a famous song was composed. A plaque commemorates this location. You may want to have lunch or a fresh muffin at one of the local restaurants.
Part 4. To get here from part 3 you must go east 645 meters and north 109 meters. You'll be at a plaque commemorating an infamous actress, who graduated from Medford High.
To get credit for the 4 part cache you must email me with the following:
The name of the famous American and for what she was famous, the name of the famous performer and where he performed, the name of the famous song and the name of the tavern in which it was composed and finally, the name of the infamous actress and the first names of both her parents.
