Ah, the Dearg Due. She stands in the shadows of the better-known Abhartach, but she’s none the less terrifying, in our opinion.
The Dearg Due is one of several Irish mythical creatures / Irish monsters whose characteristics resemble that of a vampire. Her name translates to “red bloodsucker” and, according to legend, she’s a cunning vampire who seduces men and drains them of their blood.
