Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on the 33 mile Stone Circles Challenge (SCC) circular route that visits villages Yarnfield, Swynnerton, Beech, Tittensor, Barlaston, Moddershall, Fulford, Milwich, Hartley Green, Salt, Hopton, Whitgreave and Norton Bridge. This cache is intended to compliment other existing caches on the SSC.

The SCC is a mainly rural route and depending on the weather, time of year etc, crops, animals and mud may be experienced and so appropriate footwear is strongly advised. There is some short walking on minor roads and a need to cross main roads, some have fast moving traffic and so special care should be taken with geokids.

Caches prefixed SCC1 are on a linear section of the route between Wedgwood station and Moddershall, a distance of about 4 miles.

Caches prefixed SCC2 are on a linear section of the route between Fulford and Garshall Green, a distance of about 4.5 miles.

Caches prefixed SCC3 are on a linear section of the route between Milwich and Salt, a distance of about 4 miles.

Caches prefixed SSC4 are on a linear section of the route between Hopton and Whitgreave, a distance of about 3.5 miles

Caches prefixed SSC5 are on a linear section of the route between Whitgreave and Yarnfield, a distance of about 4 miles

Caches prefixed SSC6 are on a linear section of the route between Swynnerton and Beech, a distance of about 1.5 miles. Depending on which way you are walking the SCC, SCC6 is either the first or final section of the SCC series as the remainder of the SCC to Wedgwood station is well served with existing caches.

For SCC5 parking is available off road at Whitgreave and on street at Yarnfield

For SCC6 parking is available off road both at Swynnerton and at Beech.
