Dernièrement nous avons rencontré le couple MOST avec qui nous
avons parlé pendant de longues heures de leurs vacances
d’hiver à Val Thorens. Il est évident qu’ils adorent
les belles et hautes montagnes de cette station. Puis nous avons
parlé de geocaching et du manque de caches dans ce secteur.
C’est principalement pour cette raison, après leurs 7 séjours
dans cette station, qu’ils ont décidé d’en cacher
une.
Malheureusement, ils ne nous ont pas indiqué les coordonnées
finales de cette cache. Les seules indications qu’ils ont
laissées étaient des photos qui devraient nous permettre de la
trouver. Aussi, pour trouver cette cache il est très important de
regarder avec soin les photos et de suivre les pistes de Val
Thorens.
La dernière chose qu’ils ont précisée, était de ne jamais
oublier de vérifier le drapeau du risque d’avalanche. A
partir de ce point, la cache est située à 885 mètres avec un azimut
de 195 ° (sud ouest). Cela peut vous aider, en particulier en cas
de mauvais temps ou lorsque la neige recouvre les diverses
indications contenues dans les photos. MAIS CELA NE SIGNIFIE PAS
QUE VOUS POUVEZ RECHERCHER CETTE CACHE DANS DES CONDITIONS EXTREMES
OU PAR MANQUE DE VISIBILITE.
Recently we have met the couple MOST who long hours talked about
their yearly winter holiday in Val Thorens. From their telling was
obvious how much they adore these beautiful and high mountains.
After a while they started to talk about geocaching and the lack of
caches in this area. It was the main reason why their seventh visit
of this place will be also the opportunity to hide the cache.
Unfortunately they did not reveal us any closer information or
final coordinates. The only thing which they left behind were some
detailed pictures which should lead us to the final place with the
cache. So the most important thing for success is to watch
carrefully their pictures and let yourself lead through slopes in
Val Thorens.
The
last thing they emphasised was never forgetting to check the flag
of avalanche risk from which the cache is hidden 885 metres in
azimuth 195° SW. This specification can help you especially in bad
weather or when the snow level covers some of photo hints. BUT IT
DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU WILL HUNT THIS CACHE IN CONDITIONS OF ZERO
OR MINIMAL VISIBILITY.
