Let’s celebrate getting a souvenir for Australia Day!
Australia Day is on January 26 and commemorates the establishment of the first European settlement at Port Jackson, now part of Sydney, in 1788.
Unfortunately my work does not recognize Australia Day as a holiday for me even though I am Australian so we will have this event on Saturday the 27th instead of on the actual day. In Australia, Australia Day is a national public holiday just like Independence Day is here in the states.
I plan to be there from about 2 PM until at least 3 PM but you may come and stay as long or as short as you like.
I will even bring Vegemite for you to try. You are not obligated to try it though, nor are you obligated to eat at this establishment. After all, they do not really serve any Australian food ;)
As we say at all the big international sporting events (you know, like cricket, rugby, the Olympics) - Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!
