Geocache Description:

Replacement for GCWEZE

This is a replacement cache for GCWEZE. The original cache listing is available by searching for GCWEZE on geocaching.com. This is a popular spot to walk and really should have it's own cache which is why I have replaced the old missing one.

In view of some of the comments from other cachers and for those of you who don't have the original cache listing with you, below is the text copied from GCWEZE although I am not sure it really adds that much. If you want the original clue you will need to visit the old listing but you really shouldn't need it as this one is very easy to find.

Quote from GCWEZE entry, thanks to Flower Fairy Folk.

The Matinsell Cache is located at the summit of Martinsell Hill, close to a mermorial bench. Suggested parking would be between Clench Common and Wooton Rivers (N51 22.750 - W001 44.271).

The location for the cache was discovered when enjoying the stunning views offered from the top of Martinsell Hill. The walk is suitable for the whole family and is idilic for picnicing or general relaxation. The cache is a large green tub inside a green plastic bag, vegetation surrounding the cache (during the summer) is low and can be negotiated in open toed shoes. Upon discovering the cache there is a memorial bench in close proximity, providing a suitable place to write your log and swap treasures - if you have binoculars it is possible to see the Pewsey White Horse if you look due south. The most suitable parking is provided from the coordinated stated above. Good food and better beer can be found at the Royal Oak in Wootton Rivers, we highly recommend it!
