Dobeles šosejas malā saglabājies 19. gadsimta beigu piemineklis – mīlestības aleja, tas ir piemineklis uzticībai, draudzībai un skaistiem sapņiem par pagātni un nākotni. Ar šo vietu saistās leģenda par diviem 18.gs. dzīvojušiem draugiem, Kurzemes-Zemgales hercoga padomniekiem Teču un Švanderu, kam šī bijusi iecienīta pastaigu vieta. Bērzu aleja, kas savieno abu draugu kapavietas, nosaukta par mīlestības aleju, jo to stādījuši jaunlaulātie.
Stāsta, ka abiem vīriem sanācis iemīlēties vienā meitenē, tomēr draudzības vārdā viņi abi esot atteikušies no šīm jūtām un palikuši vecpuišos, bet meitene ar laiku esot apprecējusi citu. Švanders ar Teču viņai izmaksājuši lielu pūra naudu. Rūpes par jaunajiem pāriem turpinājās arī pēc abu draugu nāves - tie visu savu mantu novēlēja Jelgavas amatnieku cunftei, kurai vajadzēja izmaksāt pūra naudu tai amata meistara meitai, kas nākamajā gadā pirmā izies pie vīra. Turklāt jaunajam pārim bija jālaulājas baznīcā un jāiestāda viens bērziņš draugu vecajā pastaigu vietā.
Abi draugi tika apbedīti katrs savā alejas galā un katram uzstādīts piemineklis, bet līdz mūsdienām saglabājusies tikai viens - Teča vāze. Otrs piemineklis – granīta obelisks Švanderam – gājis bojā pēc Otrā pasaules kara. Zem pieminekļiem atrodas šo personu apbedījumi.
Šī tradīcija ir spēkā arī mūsdienās, jaunajam pārim kāzu dienā ir iespēja iestādīt savu bērziņu Mīlestības alejā, bet kāzu gadadienā to apmeklēt, lai apskatītu savu kociņu.

Alley of love is a memorial from the 19th century, it is a testament to love, friendship and dreams about the past and the future. There is a legend about two friends , who lived during the 18th century, Tečs and Švander, who loved to go on walks there. The birch alley, which connects both friend`s burial grounds, has been named the alley of love, since the birch trees are planted by newlyweds.
A story is told, that two men had fallen in love in the same girl, in the name of their friendship, both neglected their feelings and remained bachelors, while the girl married someone else. Švander and Teč bestowed her with a big portion of money. Caring about new couples continued even after both friend`s deaths – they dedicated all of their wealth to the Craftsman guild of Jelgava, which had to bestow some money to a craftsman`s daughter , who was the first one to get married each year. Also, the couple had to be wed in a church, as well as plant a birch tree at their old walking grounds.
Both friends were buried each at their own side of the alley, and a monument was created for both of them, although until today, only one of the monuments remain – Teč`s vase. The second monument - a granite obelisk for Švander – has been destroyed after the Second World War. Under the monuments are the burials of these two persons.
This tradition is active even today, newlywed couple have a chance to plant a birch tree in the alley of love , during the day of their marriage, and they can visit their own planted tree , during their anniversary.
