Bridge over the River Tye Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Right Wing Wacko: Since I just replaced this a few weeks ago, I'm not going to do it again. When I was last there I had to CITO some beer bottles from under the bridge, so I'm guessing it's become a local party hangout.

Geocache Description:

A quick, almost drive-by cache. I placed this after scoring my 800th find at the nearby Iron Goat Trail.

The cache container is a small Lock&Lock container. The location is on the Old Cascade Highway at a foot-bridge over the Tye River. This road use to be the old Stevens Pass Highway many many years ago.

I suggest approaching the cache from the top of the pass, as the road is much more scenic that way. However it can also be reached by taking the lower approach. If you are really adventurous, and have a high clearance vehicle, you can take the spur that heads down the cliff half way up the pass. It was passable with my Ford Ranger 4x4 Pickup.

Please post the coordinates you get when you find the cache. I had two GPS's units with me and they were both giving me some pretty wild readings. The above is somewhat of an average of what they both told me.
