Geocache Description:

"On Hickman" is a series of caches highlighting bridges over Hickman Creek. This creek drains East Hickman and West Hickman Creeks, and flows through Jessamine County into the KY River. Hickman Creek flows through rolling hills, floodplains, and farmlands, and is crossed by several picturesque country roads. Most of the caches are right at water's edge, elevated to protect from average flooding. Be careful not to wade or swim inadvertently, though there are no nearby dangerous rapids.

This creek is canoeable all year, but moves quicker in spring. If someone asks what I'm doing, I'm scouting conditions for canoeing.

No need to cross any gates or bridges for this one. Here the remains of the old bridge are watched over by the new. Yes, the old bridge floods a couple times a year.

8.8 miles from headwater.
