Geocache Description:

"
Barbar Temples are located in the village of Barbar, the first of which discovered in 1954 by the Danish Excavation Expedition. Later it was discovered that it was erected on two more temples which are smaller in size, but older. It is believed that the temples were built to worship the God Enki and his wife Nankhur Sak and their son Anzak. The temple was built in three stages stretching from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. "

Above are excerpts from Bahrain National Museum website: (visit link)

The temple or what is left of it is located near N 26 13.555 E50 29.026 . Sadly, it does not look to be in a good condition.. In fact, it's more like an abandoned construction site than an archeological place.

The cache is now a black magnetic nano (measuring 1cmx1cm) stuck on the back of a light post one foot from the ground.

Happy geocaching.
