Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small plastic container. This is a micro so bring your own pen please.

The Medad Stone Tavern was built in 1803 by Medad Stone to be a tavern. He thought that Boston Post Road would be rerouted so he built his tavern away from the green. When the road wasn't changed, the tavern never opened. So, for almost 200 years it was used by the Davis family. In 2001 the tavern was donated to the Guilford Keeping Society and was restored. There is also a barn on this property, and many people come here at various times. Permission was granted by the Guilford Keeping Society for the placement of this cache. As always, happy caching!
