Sally’s Quarry

Cache #8 inspired by a list of 100 must-read novels I discovered last year. It is not necessary to have read the book to find the cache. There is something about the location that makes me think of the novel.

In the novel “Pillars of the Earth” by Ken Follett, there is an ongoing feud between the Hamleigh family and the supporters of Kingsbridge Cathedral. Access to stone from the quarry is a recurring theme and as the story approaches its climax, Richard rallies a band of outlaws and hides out in Sally’s Quarry in the forest.
