Geocache Description:

Breakfast bug exchange meeting

The event will be held from 8:30AM - 10:30AM at the Old Country Buffet in Matteson, Illinois on March 12th, 2005. The cost of the breakfast buffet is $7.50 per adult and .50 per year per child 12 years of age or younger. We will put a tip jar out to take care of the staff.

(3/11/05 update): The far back area of the Old Country Buffet will be set up for us to hold about 50 people. Just come on back once you pay for your buffet. We will have a sign in area for you to log in as well as name tags to wear.

Winter is coming to an end and it's time to renew those caching aquaintances. We are hoping that this will be a very big, very very big bug exchange event. Start collecting those bugs to trade here. Why not have a few bugs with your breakfast!!

(Update): Oh Boy!!! I asked for a very, very big travel bug exchange... THIS IS GREAT !!!

Travel Bug Count:
3/08/05: 68 Travel Bugs Attending
3/09/05: 84 Travel Bugs Attending
3/10/05: 111 Travel Bugs Attending
3/11/05: 160 Travel Bugs Attending (Last time I am counting these)
3/11/05: 174 Travel Bugs Attending (The very last time that I am couning these)
3/11/05: 189 Travel Bugs Attending (The absolute very last time I am going to count these)
3/12/05: The final estimated count was 215 Travel Bugs Attending.

Please remember to grab the bugs that you took from the event and place them in your name.

There are plenty of caches near by for those who have not hit them and who knows, maybe we can entice a few of the local cachers to place a few during that week.

(3/8/05 update): A little birdy told me that new area caches are going to be coming online this week... Watch those new listings. A printout will be available at breakfast. A special thanks goes out to The Southlanders, ItsJustUsTwo and Blackreugen and Otto for placing caches.

(3/10/05 update): It looks like about 10 new caches in the area will be coming online !!

Come join us on the south side to exchange some war stories and some bugs. This is a great place for new cachers to meet some experienced cachers.

Donations for a "free" raffle would be appreciated. Contact OldRocker or The Southlanders if you wish to donate an item or two to raffle off. Everyone attending will be given a raffle ticket with a number for the drawing. Everyone will have a chance to win.

The raffle will be held at 10:00 AM. We have several Ammo Cans, Travel Bug Tag, a couple Bison Tubes and more....

Hope to see many friends new and old!!
