Bonsai!!!
The boys and I went out on a quest to find a "Cat Facted Tree" to put a geocache at. We searched a large part of the Wildlife Reserve, without luck, but we did find this cool Bonsai looking, Sand Live Oak tree that was just begging for a cache. The really cool part came on the way back to the truck when I spotted a series of really BIG tracks (about 5.5 inches across). A first I thought we might have a black bear back in the park (the last one was seen around 2008), but the tracks weren't right; they were too round. So after a lot of pictures and careful comparison, we think it may have been a cougar, with its claws out, stalking a deer (whose tracks were nearby as well).

To get to this cache, you will need to travel Twin Bridges Trail, until you come to the fire roads just east of the second bridge. I have included a link to a trail map. Android phone users can also find an App for the Back Country Trail here. iPhone users can find an app here. You are looking for a camouflaged match stick container. I wouldn't worry too much about the cougar. They tend to be more afraid of people than people of are them. Consider yourself very lucky if you get to see it. Enjoy.
