ASLAN'S TRACK, CRANLEIGH
You don’t have to go through a wardrobe or find a lion or
a witch to solve this cache! This right of way known as
Lion’s Lane is a byway open to all traffic (BOAT) but was
recently the subject of a Traffic Regulation Order prohibiting all
vehicles wider than 1.5m from using it except for access, as it had
become almost impassable by constant use by 4x4 vehicles. You will
have to walk or cycle from either Alfold Road or Knowle Lane but
simply look at the suggested parking area to decide which is
shortest.
There may be room for one car to park for a short while at the
gate just off Knowle Lane, but do not block the entrance to the
adjacent house.
You could always take a short detour from the popular Guildford
to Horsham series of caches to find this one, as after some surface
improvement works it is now quite easy to cycle along this
lane.
You are looking for a small Clip & Close container which has
a log book, pencil and pencil sharpener at time of placing and a
couple of small swaps.
