Geocache Description:

This cache is located in one of Lansings many beautiful City parks. And is a great place to bring the Family for an afternoon. Parking available at N42°43.085 W084°35.443 during the summer and N42°43.117 W084°35.523 during the year round.

The park has playground equipment, picnic tables and a few pavilions. Sorry to say that dogs are not allowed. While you’re there take time to enjoy the park and some of the paths around the first stage. The first stage is a commemorative plaque and you need to gather information here to solve for the second stage. The second stage is a round plastic container made of 3” PVC pipe and has the usual cache contents. To find the second stage take the decimal portion of the minutes in the original north coordinates and add (104 + number of years of achievements) to them. Then take the decimal portion of the minutes in the original west coordinate and subtract (103 + (year of his death – year of birth)) from them. Example: .003 + (104 + number of years of his achievements) = xxx .575 - (103 + (year of his death – year of his birth)) = yyy Final stage coordinates: N42°43.xxx W084°35.yyy As usual remember to Log all of your caching adventures as this helps us keep the cache well maintained.
