Geocache Description:

This short and easy Wherigo can be walked the entire way, approximately 40 minutes of flat walking terrain. Park Hours: 8am to Sunset

The Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve contains the largest tract of undisturbed marshland remaining in the San Francisco Bay. Fifteen miles of multi-use trails provide access to a unique mixture of tidal and fresh water habitats. The preserve encompasses 1,940 acres and is owned by the city of Palo Alto. It is an important habitat for migratory shorebirds and is considered one of the best bird-watching spots on the West Coast. It also has a somewhat controversial and interesting history.
