This is the approximate location of the "Jim Lane Cabin" from the "Shepherd of the Hills" book/show.

There was a cabin near this spot where Mathias Shearer lived . He was the prototype for the character of Jim Lane and his daughter, Grace, was the prototype for Sammy Lane in the story. You can find pictures of the cabin on the internet. We remember seeing it many years ago.
