La Tana dei Draghi - Dragon's den
Questa Geocache l'ho dedicata ai draghi, creature che mi hanno sempre affascinato ed il posto ideale per una loro tana è il Bosco Baredi di Muzzana del Turgnano, luogo che adoro per la sua tranquillità.
Il bosco che andrete a visitare cercando la Tana dei Draghi fa parte degli ultimi lembi dell'antica Silva Lupanica, la grande foresta planiziale che occupava tutta la pianura del Nord Italia. Il Bosco Baredi di Muzzana del Turgnano, come altri boschi circostanti, sono dei relitti sopravvissuti a secoli di abbattimenti intensivi e ora sono zone tutelate. Le specie arboree che si possono osservare passeggiando in questo tempio della Natura sono la farnia, il carpino bianco, l'olmo, l'acero campestre e i frassini ossifili mentre i principali animali che popolano il bosco sono il capriolo, la volpe, il tasso, la lepre oltre che a diverse specie di uccelli.
Non limitatevi alla sola geocache ma godetevi una salutare passeggiata nel bosco lungo i sentieri battuti, avendo grande rispetto per questi ultimi boschi planiziali. Portate pazienza per le zanzare che probabilmente vi correranno dietro e attenzione ai ragni che potrebbero fare da guardiani alla geocache. This geocache is dedicated to dragons, creatures that have always fascinated me and the perfect place for their den is the Baredi Wood of Muzzana del Turgnano, location that I love for his calm.
The wood that you will visit searching the Dragon's Den is a part of the last flaps of the ancient Silva Lupanica, the big forest that occupied the flat land of North Italy. Baredi wood, with other near woods, are little pieces of the ancient forest survivor of centuries of tree-killing and now they are protected surfaces. Tree species that you can see during the hike in this Nature temple are oaks, hornbeams, elm trees and ash tress. Main animals that living here are roes, foxes, yews, hares and many birds.
Don't limit yourself about the only geocache but take your time for an healthy walk in this wood along the trails maintaining a big respect for this last woods. Bring patience for the mosquitoes and be careful about spiders in the geocache location. Coordinates could be not accurate, for the tree leaves covering
