Geocache Description:

Bring your own pen

With the amount of small roadside micros there are around here lately, we thought we'd jump on the bandwagon and produce our own roadside micro.  Of course, there's a twist to this one.  The micro is about 50 feet above the road.  Your trip to the roadside will take you through gorgeous Hubbard Park; 1800 acres of fun.  This area has great trails, great landscaping, cliffs, a swimming pool, reservoir and a mirror lake with more ducks than you can shake a stick at (not to mention swans and geese too).  There are also other caches in this park with great views.

This micro will take you to the gateway between the part of the park that most "car bound" park goers see and the part of the park that only hikers get to see.  We whole heartedly recommend that you continue along the white trail to see the rest of the park and of course, the lookout tower at the top.

To get to the trail head enter Hubbard park from Rte. 322 in Meriden, drive to the back of the park and park at the trail head sign.

The co-ordinates for the trail head are N41° 33.031 W072° 50.113
