This part of Benoni is known as airfield because during World War II, the South African Airforce trained the war pilots in Benoni. In honour of this, all the street names in this area were named aeronautically. This geocache series gives a brief explanation of the various planes and places in flying after which these roads were named as well as a photo of the plane focussed on.
