This is a short walk involving 4 caches starting at Coed Glan Y Mor woodland, overlooking Clarach Bay, in-between Aberystwyth & Borth in Mid-Wales. The wood is privately owned & is well managed; with grateful thanks to Mr Alan Grover for permission to site a couple of caches here. It has decent footpaths and a couple of picnic tables. It is popular with mountain bikers – there are lots of jumps and ramps in the woods, for adventurous cycling geocachers.
As with all caches set in woodlands the GPS signal may be a little erratic – so I have tried to give fairly helpful hints.
Cache location
May 2018 - due to the cache regulary disappering I have had to re-locate the cache a little distance away from the information board and nearby house. You will still need to pass the information board to find the path to get into the woods. This first cache has been placed to set you off on the right footpath into the woods. It is on the road, so please take care with geokids & geodogs.
After finding this cache, follow the steepish path up and into the woods, climbing over the stile at the locked gate.
Parking
Parking can be obtained in the lay-by close to this cache location. This is really a passing place for the narrow lane, so please use it considerately. Alternative parking can be obtained in the Clarach Bay car park down by the beach. HOWEVER this car park is locked every evening, so please read the gate closing times, as I would hate you to get locked in.
