Over the last year we have had a great amount of fun on our geocaching adventurearound the sun. We have logged many miles this past year and geocaching has taken us to some neat places, places we would have never known existed, led us to meet some great people whom we now consider friends, and helped a few of us conquer fears. It has also brought us closer together as a family as it allows us to partake in an activity that we all love.
Our advice to the newbies out there is stick with it for a while, this geocaching game is so much fun! We nearly gave up after our first two weeks after Jd getting bitten by a tick, being chased by a swarm of wasps, an earwig avalanche out of an LPC, and furry creature encounters but as our geotwinM has come to claim as her motto: "Geocachers never give up, unless there are spiders!"
Thank you to all of the cache owners that have made this first year of geocaching a success for our family!
In our first year we have accumulated 818 finds, we have had 2 streaks in excess of 100 days, 24 FTFs, filled 276 days of the year with finding at least 1 cache, and filled 59 out of 80 spots on our fizzy grid, not too bad.
