Geocache Description:

Special Cache Considerations!!!

There are three things to keep in mind when finding this cache. Please take these instructions seriously, or else you will ruin the cache for yourself and others.

First, the operation of the mechanism requires very dry conditions. If it has rained within a few days, it's too wet to operate this cache. A simple test can be done at the cache site to determine if conditions are appropriate: Kick your feet in the sand on the trail. If dust raises, go for the cache! If no dust...sorry, you'll have to come another day.

***Do not remove the cache holder from the ground. This special cache device has been planted in the ground and must remain there in order to operate porperly. Do not lift, twist, hit...don't do anything to this cache with more force than you'd give a raw egg.

***Do not dismantle this cache. It is a fine-tuned precision device and does not tolerate any monkey-business. While the basic mechanism is simple, there are a number of components that ensure reliability and keep grit, grime and water out of the mechanism. Even taking it apart 'just a little bit' to see how it works will likely throw it out of whack.

If you choose to find this cache, you must be willing to follow the instructions carefully to place the container back in it's proper location. Instructions are in the cache container.

Locating this cache shouldn't be too hard once you get to ground zero. The difficulty associated with this cache is finding a way to reveal the container. No, it's not for a matter of fact, for best results, keep water away! This cache has a rain sure it is replaced after use. If the ground is wet or even damp, you'll have to come back another day. (see above)

Cachers will be able to enjoy the Douglas trail on their way to this cache. Bring a bike or skates or even a horse! The main trail is paved, but there is a rustic trail the parallels the main trail (the cache is located along the rustic trail). Using trails, the cache is over 1/4 mile from the nearest parking. (Douglas Trail access)

The cache is located at the posted coordinates. The rest is up to you!
