Geocache Description:

Another gotta run cache in the water? No, THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES!

Hmmm...a circle.

Having helped rescue the hostage taken from our Kingdom, a raid was staged on Sellzup. We Northland invaders absconded with as much of the finest treasure of the Southland as we could cram into our looting sacks.

Fear not, our intent is only to ransom this treasure and not keep it. A ransom note has been prepared, and we fully expect the terms of the ransom to be met, perhaps even very soon. The note simply contains a puzzle, the purpose of which is to encourage you to solve some of our favorite puzzles that have been placed by the denizens of Mathatopia.

This puzzle contains no misdirection or deception. In fact, the note explicitly details what you need to do in order to reclaim your treasure.

Ye Olde Ransom Note:

Dear Fellow Cachers of Sellzup, a.k.a. Sudokuland:

Following is a list of four of our favorite puzzle caches, each from a different puzzle-placer.

The FINAL coordinate location for those caches (NOT the dummy coordinates) is a certain distance away from the location of the treasure you seek. Calculate the single point that is the specified distance from the final location of those caches, then go look for the cache, which is a small tube with log scroll. Oh, and bring a pencil to sign the log, and perhaps a tweezers to extract it.

Although some of these caches are not winter accessible, all are winter solvable.

The "distance from" was calculated using the Vincenty Formula. There are different ways of approaching and solving this puzzle. If you believe you have solved the puzzle and would like to confirm it, please email us your solution and your method/formula for arriving at the solution and we will reply.
