Geocache Description:

Difficulty, and distance to GZ, could depend upon season, or whether you stay totally on public lands while approaching.

Clara was a pioneer woman born in 1893 in North Dakota. She ended up having eleven children and running the family farm after her husband was killed in an accident. Her home was always a haven for children, a place where they could be themselves, grow, be safe, and feel welcomed, comfortable, and nurtured. Clara's life circumstances were made more difficult by the abuse of alcohol by many of her loved ones.

One of Clara's daughters has been a major benefactor for treatment centers for children and adolescents with behavioral and chemical health issues and this cache is placed in honor of the work the kids and their caregivers/teachers put forth in helping the youth of today become all they can be. The center I teach at has 13 - 18 year olds entering into their first days of a sobriety program that features counseling, education, and health services.

Clara would indeed be proud.
